- Global Fundraising Campaign - World Leprosy Day 2022 - Key dates for 2022
The Global Fundraising Campaign will be launched for World Leprosy Day 2022. The agreed Toolkit will be available from the end of October 2021.
To help achieve our vision and fundraising KPIs in a way that exemplifies the GF Members working together in a mutually supportive way to enable our vision to become a reality.
It will be our first globally integrated, multi-channel campaign targeting both existing and new donors. It is designed to be used by any TLM Member, irrespective of language or culture; and also to be relevant over a period of time and not for just one appeal.
This is possible because of
The concept for this campaign will see children depicted in photo or video. Behind them will be a shadow that represents the happy lives the children would like to be living. We hope this conveys that we can spot leprosy, treat it, and restore and transform lives in the process.
"All I want is to go to school" The campaign is based on the concept of shadows. The shadows show what has been taken from a child because of leprosy - This photo is from the concept and will not be used in the campaign
The themes for World Leprosy Day 2022 are equality and mental wellbeing.
The themes have been developed by communications personnel at various ILEP Members in consultation with organisations of persons affected by leprosy.
ILEP teams are currently working with GPZL to develop a social media toolkit, which will be published on Friday 10 December. This toolkit will include translations.
If you have any questions about the plans for World Leprosy Day or would like to submit content that can be added to the social media toolkit, please contact Tim Burton.
Following the success of TLM's first Global Day of Prayer in 2021, the Spiritual Ministry MAWG have agreed to host the Day of Prayer on Wednesday 11 May 2022.
